A great deal has been going on at Globe IFA recently.
In your latest team update, containing all the news and gossip from Globe HQ, read about exam successes, happy mortgage clients, and a potentially lifesaving piece of equipment for Globe and its community.
First up…
Homeowner turns home baker as a thank you to James and Sean
At Globe, we always look to go the extra mile for our clients, helping them to achieve their goals in whatever way we can. And sometimes, after a successful outcome, our clients go the extra mile to say thank you.
This was certainly the case after a recent success for our mortgage team when James and Sean were presented with a beautiful “Best Mortgage Advisors” cake.
Here, Sean takes up the story:
“At Globe IFA, we have clients all over the country. But the rise of remote working and online meetings post-Covid – not to mention Globe’s adaptability in dealing with those challenges – means that, now more than ever, we’re completely unrestricted by location.
“Our recent clients were first-time buyers based in Devon, and as well as the mortgage application, we also used our connections and networks within the industry to help in other ways. First we referred our clients to a firm of solicitors who undertook the conveyancing, and then to a qualified surveyor who carried out their Level 2 Homebuyers Report.
“The mortgage was offered but we didn’t down tools. Instead, we remained proactive, keeping an eye on the markets for potential rate reductions.
“This approach meant helped us achieve a rate reduction from 4.94% to 4.69%, 11 days before our clients were due to complete. This was a real team effort and highlights our commitment to achieving the best outcomes for our clients, from beginning to end.
“We also arranged level term cover for the full mortgage amount and critical illness cover of roughly a year’s salary each. At each stage of the process, we persevered, even re-submitting an application to ensure equal cover, and the outcome was the best possible one for everyone.
“Our clients clearly agreed and the whole team was extremely grateful that they had taken the time and effort to bake us a cake. And it tasted great too!”
Globe IFA potentially saving lives as we install a defibrillator
The health and wellbeing of our staff is hugely important to us here at Globe IFA. That’s why we recently installed a defibrillator at our office. Not only that, but we’ve connected it to the National Defibrillator Network and made it available to local residents too.
“The Circuit” is the brainchild of the British Heart Foundation and operates in partnership with Resuscitation Council UK, St John’s Ambulance, and the Association of Ambulance Chief Executives.
This simple piece of equipment has the potential to save lives and we are glad, and proud, to have brought it into the heart of our community.
Exam success is more good news for Sean
Mortgage advisor Sean O’Sullivan has had a great couple of months.
Not only has his hard work been acknowledged in the best possible way – through the medium of baked goods! – but he is also celebrating exam success.
Sean passed his equity release exams recently and we’re sure you’ll join us in congratulating Sean on a well-deserved result.
Well done Sean!
